The company has introduced a grinding package that is more than just a modified milling or turning machine control. Developed for the retrofit market, Open Vision HMI Grinding is designed specifically for ID OD and specialty grinding machines. The system combines GE Fanuc controls utilizing the High Speed Serial Bus (HSSB) option with the flexibility of an industrial PC.

Now the user can benefit from numerous enhancements, including ease of use through simplified intuitive menus, reduced number of keystrokes required to perform tasks and touch screen technology. The software has been designed with traditional grinding capabilities and added features, such as wheel off-sets, constant surface speed, skip dress, grinding types such as plunge, oscillation, vector, and general control grinding.

The creation, editing and viewing of programs is said to be easy with Open Vision HMI Grinding. These tasks can be freely executed either on the grinder or through an optional off-line conversational programmer. The ability to program multi-surfaces and by part reference is also available.
