The CNC Engineering team recently completed a FANUC 0i-MF control retrofit on this 5-axis Anayak 4000 VMC. For this application, our engineers designed an Ethernet IP I/O system instead of a traditional I/O configuration. The Ethernet IP I/O modules allow us to move I/O closer to the devices and reduces the amount of wiring required to be run back to the main electrical enclosure. This eliminates problems with wires breaking due to flexing inside of cable tracks and/or sealtight thus reducing maintenance, and overall machine downtime. Most Ethernet IP modules are IP67 rated and can be mounted directly to the machine instead of inside of an enclosure they also have diagnostic LEDs making maintenance and trouble shooting easier.
